Jim, I heard Rob on BlackOpRadio and decided it was not worth my time to wade through all these episodes. As much as I admire him for trying to do something like this, it was clear to me he got sidetracked by unreliable voices; I have a special aversion to this idea that the CIA planned a fake assassination but this got hijacked by hardliners. That idea does not square on close examination from a number of angles. But anyway, thanks for reviewing! -Al
Al, when I was associated with the project, i heard co producer Matt George bring that up and Rob liked it. I called up John Newman and asked him what he thought about it. He told me, "Jim, by the end of 1962, everyone in the Beltway hated Kennedy. So no there was no fake attempt. It was for real." I relayed that back and thought I had halted it. Guess not.
I would not go to that extreme Chris. It may be that when he went to podcast form, he did not have a big budget to hire more researchers. And I do not think the people that O'Brian brought in were all that well versed.
What's next for the meat head? How Putin blew up Nordstream and the Crocus Concert Hall?
